I need some Sunshine. . . .

. . . it's been WAY too long of a winter here in Idaho! So when we FINALLY had a couple beautiful days last weekend (beautiful = temperatures above 70 degrees and NO wind!) we definitely took advantage of it and hit the park! These pictures of my 4 year old playing outside in the lovely sunshine on the monkey bars were the basis for my nature themed layout this week.

I used the new Echo Park Summer Days collection-- I absolutely love all their collections and the packs are perfect for scrapbooking since they come with coordinating sticker elements. I think my absolutely favorite thing in the package is the alphas page-- it has THREE different alphabets to choose from (I used the small orange on my layout) plus some border stickers that are so cute! What a deal!

I also used some of our new Seam Binding from The Beary Scrap Store-- I just ordered a whole bunch of colors and let me tell you, they are so pretty! This one is Lemonade and I scrunched it up and spritzed it with Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist before tying several strands around my paper.

Other supplies used:

Doodlebug Buttons-- these are an awesome deal right now in our Clearance section!
Tim Holtz Distress Ink-- Broken China and Spiced Marmalade
Zutter Distress-It-All
Glue Dots

I can't wait to see your Nature layouts so be sure to enter them in our current Beary Sweet Challenge and have a fabulous May weekend!

Jamie, this is lovely! I love the buttons in the tree. I think we had similar ideas with the interpretation of the nature theme, lol. My layout for this evening is somewhat similar!

Oh my gosh this is so cute! I love the buttons on the tree. Your layout is great! Jack looks like he's loving the fresh air.

Great idea to use Glimmer Mist on the seam binding - so much more fun than boring ol' water!
Cheers,
Susan
