Say "Hi" to Sharon!

It's time for another introduction.

I'd like to introduce you to Sharon.  Sharon is one of our "in-store" designers.  As a busy Mom, I don't know how she finds the time to scrap as  much as she does... and with so much attention to detail.  She has a great perspective, loves to mix product lines and really thinks "outside of the box".  I know you will love what she brings to our team!

Hi, I’m Sharon. I’m a mother to four rambunctious children (ages 9 - 12), and I’ve been married for 13 (almost 14) years. Our home is also shared with some furry, four legged companions: our 1 year old Cocker Spaniel (Lady), our 6 month old Yorkie (Bella), and our three cats: Mara, Nittany, and Cleo. I love taking pictures, and there’s usually something going on in our crazy home that is photo worthy.

My first passion is scrapbooking, which I’ve been addicted to for about 8 years now. I enjoy looking through my albums with my family and recounting our memories together. I find it very therapeutic. I work full time, so I have some catching up to do with my albums…At least I know I’ll always have something to work on! When I’m not working, being a mom, being a wife, walking dogs, or scrapbooking, I’m usually reading. There are so many books and so little time to read them! I also enjoy quilting, but I’m still a novice. It reminds me of scrapbooking in a way, because you work with different colors and patterns, and piece the fabric together.

I hope I can inspire you and help generate some layout ideas for your scrapbook projects.

The clock is ticking to launch time!  I'll post more as it becomes available.

Meet Suzie!

Hello fellow followers!  I have 3 more introductions for you before we go live with our Gals on Monday.  Oh My, where did the time go?  Are you getting excited yet?  I know I am!

I'm still waiting on some "bios" yet, and I am lacking a photo, but I'll update that very shortly.  If you haven't noticed, I added 3 more photos on our sidebar.  These girls make up our "In-Store" designers.  Although they do not have individual blogs yet, we will be posting for them in the upcoming weeks.

Right now, I'd like to introduce you to Suzie.  We don't have a photo yet... someone wants to get a haircut first - LOL.  I'd like for you to meet Suzie.  Suzie has a really cool style to her scrapbooking.  She generally scraps 1 page layouts, but all of us at the store agree that her style impressive!  Clean, simple, and elegant.  We all love her methods.  She's been attending our monthly crops for the past few months.  As we've watched her scrap photos of her kids (and her pictures are also AWESOME!), we ALL knew that if she applied, she was a MUST HAVE to our team!  We are so lucky to have her.  She *WILL* inspire you to take a entirely different approach to your scrapbooking when you really need to get caught up.  This is what makes our team of designers so interesting.  They all compliment each other so well, but it isn't the same 'ole stuff all the time!

********************************

Hi! I'm Suzie... and I'm always wishing there were more hours in the day. I'm married with 3 children and many animals. We own a horse farm and I give riding lessons. I am also a private consultant in college financial aide.

Scrapbooking became a way for me do do something just for me... without any feelings of guilt. Everyone benefits; me, my children, my friends, and my future family.

My style is simple (not alot of time), of the "moment" (not chronological), and definitely from a different perspective - photo orientation.

********************************

I know that Suzie will help you look at  your scrapbooking at a totally differnt angle.  I've watcher scrap 3-5 layouts in at an evening crop with simplicity and elegance. I know you are going to love her style!

Until later (and I really mean later!)

A BIG HELLO to Patricia!

Can you believe it is less that a week until the Gals start sharing with all of us!  I can feel the excitement.  I know the girls are super excited and can't wait to start posting.

In the meantime, allow me to introduce you to another fabulous designer on our team.  Please welcome Patricia.

HI! My name is Patricia. I have had a love of crafts since I can remember. In high school I even took two art classes because I loved it so much. You name it and I probably have tried it at one point or another. If I can glue it I can make it. I have gotten back into scrapbooking about 3 years ago. I had three boys and life got in the way and I had to put it on hold, but now with two of my kids grown adults, I have taken it back up and just love it. I can say that it has come so far since I last had scrapbooked. One of my newest loves of the hobby is card making. Over the summer my youngest son was in football and it didn’t give me a lot of time to do much scrapbooking but I could make a card in a couple of nights and I just love doing card blog challenges. I am always looking for new ideas and challenges to take on and now being accepted as a designer for The Beary Scrap it’s taking it to a whole new level. I was very honored that Kimm invited me to be one of her designers and glad that I get to help her take on this new adventure. If there is anything I can help you with please don’t hesitate to ask I am always willing to help and if I don’t have an answer I will do my best to get one for you.

Only a few more Gals to go.  I still have to introduce you to our local designers.  They've already been bringing a few projects into the store - and boy are they CUTE!  I can't wait to share with you.  Keep coming back... the big day is coming quicker than you think.

HUGS for now.

Say Hello to Jamie!

Guess what time it is?  It's time for another Beary Scrappy introduction.  I'd like for you all to meet another one of our super talented Gals.  Say hello to Jamie.  {a round of applause please}.  You can hop on over and visit Jamie's new blog HERE.  Don't forget to become a follower too while your there.

*************************************************

My name is Jamie Cooper and I am very excited to be part of The Beary Scrap Design Team. I am from Blackfoot, Idaho and was born and raised on a potato farm. I attended Utah State University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in History and a Secondary Teaching Certificate. After graduating, I taught American History at Blackfoot High School for 5 years before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom. I married my high school sweetheart, David, in 1997 and we have 3 children: Carter (8), Lindsey (6) and Jace (2 3/4). They keep me very busy and continually remind me of the things that are truly important in life. My husband has a Bachelors degree from Utah State in Agricultural Science and Business and together with my sister and brother-in-law, we are now running our 4th generation potato operation in Blackfoot. When not busy with my kids, I love to flower garden, read, shop, vacation and watch any kind of football. I, of course, also LOVE to scrapbook and generally do any kind of paper crafts. My favorite things about scrapbooking are that it gives you freedom to express yourself in the design-- it's very individual and each person gets to include their own personality and twist in what they create. I also enjoy the connection it brings to other scrapbookers-- no matter where you are from or what stage of life you are at, if you scrapbook, you have a lot in common. And lastly, I love that I can preserve priceless family memories while creating something beautiful at the same time.

Stay tuned for more!

Say Hello to Gini!

I'd like to introduce you to our next Beary Scrappy Gal.  Warm HUGS and a BIG HELLO to Gini!  Gini has a unique style that you are sure to fall in love with.  She loves Copic Markers, and I just LOVE her distressing techniques.  Gini also designs for Sassy Designs Studio.  You can click on her image in the left sidebar to visit her blog.  Here is a brief bio submitted by our Gal Gini....

*************************************************

I have always loved making things with my hands and have tried many forms of artwork. I have taught and lectured about beadwork all over the country and still enjoy beading. More recently, I have been spending my free time with scrapbooking and cardmaking. I am completely hooked on copics and find myself coloring daily. I am lucky to be married to the love of my life, who always encourages all of my crafty pursuits.

Welcome Susan, our Design Team Coordinator

It's time to introduce you to our amazing team of deisgners!  First up is our Illustrious Design Team Coordinator Susan Killam.  Susan has been doing an outstanding job organizing this new adventure for all of us at The Beary Scrap.  Thanks a bunch Susan!  HUGS to you... REALLY BIG BEAR HUGS!

*************************************************

Hello! I'm Susan, from Killam Creative. I also answer to Honey, Sweetie, and Mommydog. My husband -Matthew- and I have been married 12 excellent years. We have a 6-year-old Blue Doberman Pinscher named Finnegan. He is absolutely the sweetest dog in the world! We adopted him from a Doberman Rescue two years ago. At the adoption event, he picked Matthew out of all the potential adopters, and the decision was made!

I am a hobby photographer, paper artist and -soon!- a wire-based jewelry maker specializing in chainmaille weaves. As a photographer, I try to capture the natural world around me, especially the really small parts.

My paper goods include 3D art cards and scrapbook layouts. I started out making cards for family and friends about 5 years ago. I can honestly say I only decided to take it seriously in 2009, and I've had a creative explosion of sorts. It's been a great ride so far!

*************************************************

Susan also designs for Sassy Studios, a really cute digital stamp company.  You can check out Sassy Designs Studio by clicking HERE.

Be sure to swing on over to Susan's Blog HERE to learn more about her and her work and seen the amazing things that she has created.
