Spring is almost here!

Spring is almost here - less than a week until the official start. So with that in mind, the Beary Scrap's latest challenge is Spring. After all of the snow from this winter, I don't think too many people will mind warmer weather and beautiful flowers.

I made a round card today using the Spellbinders Grand dies. Do you know how easy it is to make shaped cards with these large dies? I just scored my 12" cardstock at 6 inches, using my Scor-pal, then I taped the die down on the top of this fold with part of the die extending past the fold. This way when it cuts, it just cuts the shape up to the fold. My papers for today are once again Echo Park's For the Record. In the center of my handmade flower, I added one of the Beary Scraps mulberry roses (that I misted to match my card.)

I hope spring comes to visit you soon and that you will play along with our challenge. If you haven't checked out the prizes this month, you might want to see the goodies Kimm is giving away to celebrate our one year birthday!

This is gorgeous! Ok, so I'm trying to read your flower to see what you used - newsprint? Book page? scrapbook paper? You kill me with your flowers Gini! Love the scrunched up lace, too. This looks like it was so simple to make and has a huge "Wow!" factor!

Cheers,
Susan

Oh Susan - it's a page from an old paperback that I never read... like the texture of the paper.

Thanks for the sweet comments!
hugs,
Gini
