An Echo Park Combination

Happy weekend to you all! My layout today combines two of my favorite lines from Echo Park: For the Record and the new Playground. Both lines are so wonderfully vibrant and versatile. I can't wait to use Playground on some layouts about me and my husband.

My daughter, Harper, turned one last weekend and I took this picture the day before her birthday. I wanted to capture her on her last day of officially being an infant (although she's been "toddling" since ten months). I have been blessed with a well-behaved, smart, loving, and silly little girl, so I thought it would be nice to document the things I love about her right now.

I cut out the doilies from the Apron Strings paper from For the Record and adhered them in different clusters around the page, one with a fun feather behind it. I wanted to accent a few of the doilies so I added some My Mind's Eye brads, one from the Lost and Found collection. Then I added a chipboard bird from My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy.

For the title, I drew inspiration from the Playground Double Dutch paper and colored in the word "love" with a white pen. I also cut the number 5 from the Playground "Hopscotch" patterned paper. Then I used the alphas that come in the Playground for "I" and "Reasons."

Lastly, for the numbers on the journalling, I used My Little Shoebox Mini Alphas in Turquoise.

Thank you so much for looking. I look forward to seeing your projects in our wings-themed challenge. Please make sure to link up your projects to the original challenge post by April 30th! Have a wonderful weekend!

What a fun page! I love the feather accent.

I wish I had thought of taking a pic the day before Hailey's birthday. What a great moment.

Aww, Brenda, she's adorable! I probably say this with ever new project of yours, but I'll say it again: you do such neat things with your projects and make me think "outside the box". Love all your details!

Cheers,
Susan
